Are there any other examples of words when changed to comparatives and superlatives that requires an extra"n"?

Teaching my ESL students comparatives and superlatives we came across the example: thin, thinner, thinnest. My students asked why this was and if there were any others. I can't recall any others, but maybe you can. Thanks!
