Network says it's connected, but no internet, no ping... can anyone help?

Basically would I would recoomend that you unplug the modem power and also the network cable. Also just unplug the power to the router and then wait a few minutes plug in the powe to the modem wait for that to cycle up then plug the ethernet or network cable in from the router. then plug in the router power wait for that to cycle up. May need to reboot the workstations as well but not certain of that portion and you should be good.
