Culturally speaking why are the most beautiful black women always either light skinned or mixed race?

Not really sure it just looks better to not be to dark or to light. Mixed races are usually always pretty because they get the best of both races a lot of the time they come out not to dark or to light. It's the same with white people a lot of the time they don't want to be to light either so they tan.
