Is it dangerous to dissolve ambien?

I am prescribed ambien generic for intermittent insomnia, and on my second batch it takes a noticeably longer time to put me to sleep. I tried googling but all i get is warning pages about not to dissolve it then inject it. I have no intention of injection, just like dissolving a pill in a small gl of water so it takes effect quicker.
