Has anyone tried the new Pledge pet hair remover?

I have a couch and loveseat with something of a tweed-like upholstery. Not my first choice, but it's what I have. It is a cat hair magnet! I can vacuum, use a lint roller, brush, whatever. That fabric gets ahold of the hair and won't let go! I can't afford slipcovers at this time, or I'd just cover them. I was wondering if anyone has tried the Pledge pet hair remover? Does it work? How well? Do you recommend it? Serious answers, please. Thanks!
