Burmuda gr looks weird?

in my back yard, i have a 10x10 area where my bermuda looks different. leaves are farther apart and just generally looks very different than the rest of my lawn, which is weed free, as i have a cl 3 license. i believe a tree used to be where this spot is. i have applied lime and fertilizer. all that happens is that it gets much greener. no pest or infection is evident. i would really like this spot to match the rest of my lawn, so any help is appreciated. my lawn was sodded but i do not know what variety of bermuda i have. prob the cheapest variety the builder could get away with. north mississippi/memphis metro is where i live. thank you.
