Is it a good idea to mix these 2 strains?

I'm thinking about mixing some purple and some laul together. I don't know if that's the correct spelling of the name but it's a popular strain in Pittsburgh. They are both potent but i would like to know if one strain might cancel out the others effectiveness or it might produce a high that's more uncomfortable than relaxing. Thanks in advance.
